Kon Tum Project Review Report

From May 7-10, NLR Mekong team worked with Kon Tum provincial Center for Disease Control and the Association for Social Protection of persons with disability to conduct the post project review in Kon Tum province to find and compile best solutions and lessons learned for promoting integrated rehabilitation for persons with disability of ethnic minority groups.

5 people who are representatives of persons with disability and their family members were trained and invited to take part in the project review as investigators. 59 people who are representatives of different project stakeholders participated in focused group discussion, in-depth interviews and answered questionnaires.

Findings from the reviews concluded that 92% of the government officials trained by the project understood profoundly the law on persons with disability and are able to exercise the law to protect the rights of persons with disabilities. 68% respondents confirmed that they are capable to facilitate effectively consultation meeting with persons with disability.
