AAI Meeting I – Phase 2 (Apr 2023)

Within the framework of the Inclusion 1 project, RCI, as a coordinating organization, held the first meeting of the entire AAI. The meeting took place over 3 days in Can Tho City with the participation of 17 representatives from 5 member organizations, including Research Center for Inclusion (RCI), Funds of Genetic Counseling & Disabled Children (FGCDC), Thien Nhan Rehabilitation Center (TNRC), RENEW Project and Vietnam Health Improvement Project (VNHIP); along with 8 staff members from the Consultant Team on rehabilitation and healthcare services.

The meeting was organized with 2 main objectives:

  • The first objective is to unify the work plan, implementation procedures, and update the sponsor’s requirements for phase 2; share lessons learned during the project implementation in phase 1; and adjust the information in the database and build capacity for data-entry staff.
  • The second objective is to discuss, consult and agree on the recommendations of the Consultant Team for the adjustment of the Dossier, Toolkit, and User Manual.

After 3 days of exciting discussion, AAI’s members have built a set of Dossier, tools, and service provision processes; and adjusted the database system based on lessons learned from the first phase of the Inclusion 1 project. At the same time, 5 member organizations of the AAI agreed on the work plan for phase 2 of Inclusion 1 and sign a cooperation agreement.
