PROJECT CLOSING VIDEO: INCLUSIVE EMPLOYMENT – INCLUSIVE YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES (TVET)
The project “Inclusive employment – Inclusive youth with disability” (TVET) was implemented by the Research Center for Inclusion (RCI) with funding from Liliane Fonds (the Netherlands). Running from 2023 to 2025 in Hanoi, the project aimed to expand access to decent and suitable employment opportunities for youth with disabilities.
The project video below highlights its key achievements, inspiring stories, and the collaborative journey of youth with disabilities, businesses, and project partners throughout the three-year implementation.
Promoting Employment for Youth with Disabilities
The TVET project defines decent employment as paid work that provides at least the minimum wage while ensuring workplaces are accessible and appropriately adapted to the abilities, qualifications, and needs of youth with disabilities.
Over the course of three years, the project:
- Supported nearly 300 youth with disabilities, including those with physical, intellectual, hearing, and visual disabilities;
- Helped nearly 100 young people with disabilities secure stable employment through a network of 20 partner companies;
- Increased awareness among approximately 150 parents and caregivers about the rights of youth with disabilities to choose their careers, live independently, and enjoy equal opportunities in employment.
Looking Back on the TVET Journey
This project video is a tribute to the youth with disabilities, businesses, partners, and organizations that accompanied RCI throughout the implementation of the TVET project. It also reflects the project’s commitment to expanding employment opportunities for youth with disabilities, fostering inclusive workplaces, and empowering people with disabilities to maximize their potential, live independently, and participate equally in the labor market.
