In April and May 2023, AAI Joint Venture held 3 Kick-off Meetings of the Inclusion 1 Project (phase 2) in 03 provinces of Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, and Quang Nam with the participation of 104 delegates from provincial, district, and commune-level units.

At the meeting, AAI reported on the activities of Phase 1, including advantages and disadvantages; then presented the proposed work plan of each province and a video clip review on the entire project implementation as well as notable results in Phase 1.
The meeting in 3 provinces welcomed the Deputy Directors of DOLISA in Thua Thien Hue province and Quang Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs in Quang Tri, and representatives of other departments. Giving a speech at the meeting, 3 Department leaders noted the results and the effective implementation of the project in each province of AAI.
Specifically, Mr. Ho Dan – Deputy Director of DOLISA in Thua Thien Hue province said, “…the project implementation process of AAI has achieved outstanding results and is highly appreciated by the project management units. The Department requests localities to coordinate and reflect in a timely manner to facilitate AAI’s activities…”

Ms. Doan Thi Hoai Nhi, Deputy Director of DOLISA in Quang Nam province shared, “…The Department highly appreciates the activities of AAI in the past year as well as the careful, detailed preparation for today’s meeting. The results of the project are extraordinary, many people with disabilities as well as their families participated and were supported by the project. I sincerely hope that AAI will continue to promote the results and the sense of responsibility…“

With such results from phase 1, AAI has compiled a book namely “Inclusion 1: A Year to Remember” and presented it to the participants to help them better understand AAI’s project model as well as member organizations of AAI.

Through the meeting, AAI could approach and interact directly with the units that have cooperated or are expected to cooperate, such as the Social Protection Center and the new districts and communes that will start participating in Phase 2. In the coming period, AAI will continue to maintain its good doings and make appropriate adjustments to successfully implement the project.
