The ‘We ring the bell 2019’ event was held at the Xa Dan Secondary School with the collaboration between the school and the Research Center for Inclusion (RCI) on 11 March 2019.
This is an initiative of Liliane Fonds (LF) – a Dutch non-governmental organisation, working in the field of supporting children with disabilities. LF activities aim to ensure all children with disabilities, especially children with disabilities in low-income countries in Asia, Africa and the Latin America are equal and participate in all activities at both the family and social level and ensure improvements of quality of their lives at the best level. Up to 2019, the ‘We ring the bell’ events have been organized in more than 100 countries around the world to raise public awareness and mobilize policy makers about the opportunity to go to school of children with disabilities.
This is the first time the event was held in Hanoi, with the participation of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Hanoi Relief Association for Handicapped Children, and teachers and students of the Xa Dan Secondary School and RCI. The event aimed to convey the message of inclusive education as well as the right to school for all children, including children with disabilities.
