As part of the TVET project, RCI is collaborating with STEP Club (Action for Visually Impaired People) to organize a 2-day training session to teach customer service skills to 25 disabled youth (visually impaired, blind) aged 16 to 25.
After the training course, more than 90% of participants have:
- Mastered professional communication skills and can adeptly handle various situations.
- Developed a deep understanding of communication to reach target customers.
- Acquired the ability to comprehend customer psychology and create lasting impressions to retain existing customers.
- Practiced persuasive techniques, successfully negotiated, and effectively closed deals to boost revenue and profits.
The project aims to improve customer service skills, employment opportunities and social inclusion. It has attracted a large number of visually impaired youths who are active in or interested in entering the service and sales consulting industries. Through engaging in group discussions, visually impaired youth explored real-life scenarios to enhance and refine their customer care skills.
This training is part of the “Inclusive Employment – Inclusive Young People with Disabilities” (TVET), funded by Liliane Fonds Fonds (Netherlands) and implemented by the Research Center for Inclusion (RCI). The project’s goal is to increase access to suitable jobs for youth with disabilities YWD and is being implemented in Hanoi. Soft skill training for YWD is one of the activities of the project.
