Zero Project was initiated by a 16-year-old Austrian non-profit organization – The Essl Foundation – whose mission is to find, promote, and support the implementation of innovative solutions worldwide that can significantly improve the lives of disadvantaged people. Since its launch in 2008, Zero Project has focused on the rights of persons with disabilities and the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

RCI is honored to be one of 77 awardees among 523 nominations in Zero Project Awardees 2024. According to Martin Essl, Founder of the Essl Foundation: “The innovations of the Zero Project Awardees vary in their approaches to Inclusive Education and the fields they target. What unites them is a solution-oriented mindset towards removing barriers. Through their demonstrated practices, they also have answers for some of the most urgent challenges related to disability inclusion in these times of multiple crises.”

RCI would like to express its sincere thanks to Thien Nhan Rehabilitation Center, Vietnam Health Improvement Project and National Center for Special Education for their tremendous contribution to the project achievement, which enables the award from Zero Project to be possible for RCI.
