From January 5th to 8th, 2025, the Research Center for Inclusion (RCI) – the leading unit of the Joint Venture for Disability Inclusion (AAI) – successfully organized the New Year Festival 2025 for people with disabilities in three provinces/cities under the Inclusion 1 Project: Quang Tri, Quang Nam, and Hue City. This event series was carried out within the framework of activities of the Inclusion 1 Project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
The purpose of the New Year Festival 2025 was to create a playground, facilitate interaction, and increase the participation of people with disabilities in community activities, while also raising public awareness about disabilities. It aimed to call for and support organizations for people with disabilities to enhance advocacy activities, development, and the connection of associations, groups, and clubs for people with disabilities in local areas.
The main activities of the event included art performances, participation in traditional games, a fast bánh chưng wrapping contest, fruit tray displays, cake and jam making, and crafting products for the Lunar New Year.
In Hue, the New Year Festival event took place on January 5th, 2025, at A Luoi Market, A Luoi district, in cooperation with the Youth Union of A Luoi district. In addition to fun activities and art performances, the organizers presented 33 gift sets consisting of rice and milk to the people with disabilities attending the event. These gift sets were supported by the RCI organization through donations from two companies: Yen Viet Pharmaceutical and Hadu International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
