IEC MATERIAL ON SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
In collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), RCI has developed an IEC (Information, Education and Communication) material on sexual and reproductive health for persons with disabilities.
The material has been used in communication and awareness-raising activities for persons with disabilities and their caregivers, focusing on key topics including:
- Sexual and reproductive health rights of persons with disabilities
- Prevention of stigma, discrimination, and gender-based violence against persons with disabilities
- Sexual safety and consent
- Prevention of sexual abuse and harassment against persons with disabilities
- Family planning
- Prevention of sexually transmitted infections
- Safe motherhood
The material was finalized with technical inputs and consultations from representatives of the Ministry of Health, Can Tho Center for Disease Control (CDC), and UNFPA.
RCI hopes this material will contribute to improving awareness and promoting access to sexual and reproductive health information for persons with disabilities, contributing to a more inclusive, respectful, and safe environment for all.
